Kailan Kalina
Kailan
started playing basketball in the 4th grade with Redmond Parks and Recreation
and she played in the program for three years. From 6th through 9th grade, she
played for Redmond Select. Kailan also tried out for Puget Sound Flight in the
6th grade, where she played until 8th grade. In 9th grade, she played for
Northwest Heat. She also played basketball at Evergreen Junior High for three
years. In 7th grade, she was voted MVP by her teammates. As an 8th grader, she
made varsity and in 9th grade she was named captain and later won the MVP
award. Kailan loves playing basketball and is looking forward to her first
season of Redmond High basketball.
11 Alicia
Valentine
Alicia
started playing basketball in 1st grade for Redmond Parks and Recreation and
it has been her life ever since. She played for The
Boys and Girls Club and Parks and Recreation up until 4th grade. Soccer
was also a part of her life from the 2nd to 5th grade until she chose to
dedicate herself full time to basketball. At the age of 9 she had to undergo
laser eye surgery because of a tumor connected to her eye, part of which is
still there today. This road block in her life really jump
started her more serious career in basketball. She made the
Redmond Select 6th grade team as a 5th grader and played for the program ever
since. She also played spring ball for Seattle Magic, Puget
Sound Flight, and Emerald City. While attending Redmond Junior High, she
played JV as a 7th grader and varsity for 8th and 9th. In 9th grade she was
captain and was voted MVP by her teammates. Last year as a sophomore, she was
given the coaches award for JV; she also "swung" for the varsity,
which was a great experience for her. Besides basketball, she loves to sew and
knit. She also enjoys working out, shopping, and reading.

Chandler Jones Chandler
began AAU basketball for the Puget Sound Flight program and the Redmond Select
6th grade team in the 5th grade. She also played select softball for five
years but gave it up for basketball. Chandler has had a great time competing
at all different levels of basketball. In 2004 her ECBA team won the 12U NW
AAU Championships, then went on to the 12U National Championships in Amarillo,
Texas. In 2005 she attended the Elite Adidas Junior Phenom Camp and was ranked
third best player out of 98 girls from all over the United States at the 2010
age level. In the summer of 2006, she attended the UW Basketball Camp and was
named to their "High School All Star team". Chandler was a three
year varsity player, MVP and co-captain on RJH's undefeated basketball team.
She was also the MVP for the 9th grade Select team and this past spring and
summer, Chandler traveled with her Puget Sound Flight team to Arizona, Oregon,
Tennessee, and San Diego. Chandler is a National Honor Society member and
served as an Ignite mentor at RJH. During the last two years, she has helped
coach the 6th grade Redmond Select team. Chandler is excited to be part of the
Mustangs Girls basketball team this year and is looking forward to having a
great time with her teammates.

Stephanie
Egeberg Stephanie
has been playing basketball since she was in the 7th grade. She has been
involved in the Redmond Basketball program since then. Stephanie participated
in Evergreen Junior High basketball all three years playing two years on
junior varsity and one year on varsity. Outside of basketball she also loves
to play soccer. During the summer she likes to wake board and spend time out
on the water. She also enjoys playing the piano, reading, and spending time
with her family and friends. Stephanie's first year at Redmond High School she played on the
Junior Varsity team and had a great experience. Her junior year she was a
swing player playing for both JV and varsity. However, last year she tore
ligaments in her ankle during a game and was out for a couple of months. Now
fully recovered, she is excited to learn,
improve and be a part of the basketball team for senior year.

Courtney Martin Courtney
began playing competitive basketball four years ago. She played the past
three seasons for the Puget Sound Flight AAU program and was the leading
scorer for the elite level gold team this past season. Courtney is an aggressive,
tireless, extremely well conditioned, high energy player. Last year in
her first year of varsity eligibility, she was the second leading scorer, 10.8
ppg, and leading rebounder, 7.5 ppg, for the Mustangs. Courtney was awarded
the Redmond Varsity's MVP award. She led all first year eligible players in
scoring average in the Kingco 4A Conference where she was the 12th leading
scorer and 7th leading rebounder overall. She looks forward to the team having
a winning season and hopes they can get to the state tournament. Courtney is also a member of the
National Honors Society, the Girl Scouts and does volunteer work with autistic
children. When she isn't playing basketball, Courtney enjoys
spending time with her friends, family and working out with Mike Lawson at the
RAC.

Mary Petrie
Mary started playing soccer and basketball at eight years old with the local Boys and Girls Club and as a fifth grader, she made the sixth grade Redmond Select team. She continued four more years with the Redmond High School Select program as their starting point guard, averaging 15.4 points per game. She started AAU in the fifth grade as well, with the Seattle Magic and joined Puget Sound Flight in the seventh grade where she has continued to play.
Her ninth grade team was the Oregon City-End of the Trail Champions and Mary was named Oregon City All Tournament and MVP in Reno, Nevada. She was top scorer of her team, for the 2005 season, with an average of 8.5 points per game.
She is captain of the varsity RHS girls basketball team for the second year
and has earned the coach's award, a scholastic award in 2006/2007 and most
inspirational in 2007/2008. Mary also plays the violin with the Redmond High School Orchestra and has participated in Honors violin for
three years. She is a member of the National Honor Society with a 3.85 GPA and
has participated in leadership since 6th grade holding various positions including President, Historian, and
this year's Public Relations officer. She plans to play basketball in college
and continue her leadership training.

Katie Kruger
Katie has been playing basketball since 2nd grade. She
began playing Select in 5th grade continuing through 9th grade. She played
varsity for three years on her junior high team earning MVP. At Redmond High,
Katie is a three year varsity letterman and started every game her junior
year. She was the first in the Kingco Conference with a 58% field goal
percentage from the floor and which was also an individual Mustang season
record. She was 13th in Kingco last year and led the team in blocked shots.
Katie has played AAU basketball for Puget Sound Flight for the past six years.
"My highlights with PSF are not shown on the scoreboards or in the stats
or even with awards received. My highlights will be held with me forever.
Playing along side my four teammates. Jenika Swanson, Joey Brazen, Mary Petrie
and Monica Nevi, for the past six years has meant more to me than any title,
award, or record set. It is my single highlight. We spent our summers in the
gym, playing some great games and grew up with basketball as our bond. I
learned how to be a loyal teammate, how to show grace under pressure and what
true sportsmanship really means." Katie looks forward to a successful
season as a senior and playing great team basketball.

Kaitlyn Parrott
Kaitlyn
earned two varsity letters as a sophomore: basketball and track. She has
played basketball since 3rd grade, playing in the Boys and Girls Club, the
Redmond Select Program and for Evergreen Junior High. She played AAU for the
Seattle Magic and five years for Puget Sound Flight. Her basketball highlights include
winning several prominent tournaments from Seattle to Maui, and traveling to
compete in national tournaments in Oregon City, Phoenix, and Memphis. Individual honors include being named Best Defensive Player on several teams, and often being called on to defend the opponent's top playmaker.
For the RHS track team last season, Kaitlyn won every individual Kingco 100M
and 200M sprint in which she competed. She placed in both her events in the
Kent Meridian Regional Invitational and her times also qualified her to
compete at State and the prestigious Pasco Invitational Meet. In junior high,
she was undefeated in 21 individual races and the District Champ in three
events: the 100, 400, and 4X400. Kaitlyn enjoys hanging out with her friends and
making anything she is part of FUN. This season, she's looking forward to
doing whatever she can to help the team succeed and exceed their goals.

Krista Simonson
Krista started playing basketball in the 3rd grade in the Redmond Parks and Recreation program. In 6th grade she began to play Redmond Select basketball which she continued through 9th grade. She played AAU basketball for the Seattle Magic in 6th grade, moved to Puget Sound Flight in 7th grade and she has been a part of the Flight program through this past summer. She played softball and basketball all 3 years at Redmond Junior High and as a 9th grader was awarded MVP of the Varsity basketball team and Female Athlete of the Year.
As a sophomore, she was a "swing" player spending time with both the JV and Varsity teams and received awards for her academics and
hustle; last year she played varsity full time and again received an academic
award. She enjoys her studies and continues to carry a 4.0 GPA. In her time away from basketball she loves skiing when there is snow, wakeboarding and boating when there is sun and spending time with family and friends.
35 Lindsey Smith
Lindsey
began playing basketball in the 2nd grade for the Boys and Girls Club. She
played Redmond Select basketball from the 6th through 9th grade. In her 9th
grade year, Lindsey was chosen by her team as the MVP Defender. She also
played in the AAU spring league for Puget Sound Flight and Heat for three
years. At Evergreen Junior High, Lindsey played one year of JV basketball and
two years on the varsity. She also participated on the school's varsity
volleyball team for three years. She was elected as the MVP and chosen to be
captain in the 9th grade. Lindsey has also been playing soccer since the age
of four and has now been on the Crossfire Premier and Select team for the last
five years. On the RHS soccer team, she was selected as the sophomore MVP
Defender by her teammates. Lindsey is excited to participate in the Redmond
High School basketball program and is looking forward to playing for the team
for the next three years.

Marissa
Pratt
Marissa
learned to play basketball in 7th grade at Evergreen Junior High School
shortly after moving from New Zealand in 2004. Growing up in New Zealand, she
was involved in multiple sports including three years of competitive swimming
and netball, a variation of basketball played in Commonwealth countries. For
her 8th and 9th grade years, she immersed herself in basketball, playing on
her varsity junior high team, Redmond Select teams, and in the Puget Sound
Flight program. In 9th grade, her Redmond Select team went 51-11 and her Puget
Sound Flight team (15U) took second place in the MSN tournament in San Diego.
Now in her sophomore year at Redmond High, she is on the varsity team and is
super excited for a fun and exciting journey this season.
