Kailan Kalina
Kailan
started playing basketball in the 4th grade with Redmond Parks and Recreation
and she played in the program for three years. From 6th through 9th grade, she
played for Redmond Select. Kailan also tried out for Puget Sound Flight in the
6th grade, where she played until 8th grade. In 9th grade, she played for
Northwest Heat. She also played basketball at Evergreen Junior High for three
years. In 7th grade, she was voted MVP by her teammates. As an 8th grader, she
made varsity and in 9th grade she was named captain and later won the MVP
award. Kailan loves playing basketball and is looking forward to her first
season of Redmond High basketball. Kalina's favorite quote: "It's not
the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog".

Stacey Kimball
Stacy
started playing basketball in 5th grade for Redmond Parks &
Rec. In 6th grade, she
made it on the Redmond Select team and from then on basketball has been a big
part of her life. She also plays
for Puget Sound Flight and played on the two-years running undefeated Varsity
Redmond Junior High team where voted “most inspirational” her 9th
grade year. When she is not
playing basketball, Stacey also enjoys playing soccer and played on the
Redmond High Junior Varsity team this season.
Besides basketball
and soccer, Stacey enjoys being with her friends, playing drums, and
traveling. She is looking forward
to working hard and making it a great season her sophomore year!

11 Alicia
Valentine
Alicia
started playing basketball in 1st grade for Redmond Parks and Recreation and
it has been her life ever since. She played for The Boys and Girls
Club and Parks and Rec up until 4th grade. Soccer was also a part of her
life from the 2nd to 5th grade until she chose to dedicate herself full time
to basketball. At the age of 9 she had to undergo laser eye surgery because of
a tumor connected to her eye, part of which is still there today. She
made the Redmond Select 6th grade team as a 5th grader and played for the
program ever since. She also played spring ball for Seattle Magic,
Emerald City Basketball Academy, and Puget Sound Flight over the years.
For Redmond Junior High she played Varsity her 8th and 9th grade years.
Her 9th grade year she was captain and was voted MVP by her teammates.
Her junior year on varsity at Redmond High School she received KingCo
Honorable mention and the Coaches Award at the end of season. With her
final year on varsity she is captain and looking forward to all the hard work
and fun the season brings. In her spare time she enjoys listening to
music, shopping and playing video games, specifically Mario Cart, at
Lindsey "The Rocket" Smith's house. Alicia's
favorite quote: "Success isn't the result of spontaneous combustion,
you must set yourself on fire".

Chandler Jones
Chandler
began
AAU basketball for the Puget Sound Flight program and the Redmond Select 6th
grade team in the 5th grade. She
has had a great time competing at all different levels of basketball. In 2004
her ECBA team won the 12U NW AAU Championships, and then went on to the 12U
National Championships in
Amarillo
,
Texas
. In 2005 she attended the Elite Adidas Junior Phenom Camp and was ranked
third best player out of 98 girls from all over the
United States
at the 2010 age level. In the summer of 2006, she attended the UW Basketball
Camp and was named to their "High School All Star team".
Chandler
was a three year varsity player, MVP and co-captain on RJH's undefeated
basketball team. She was also the MVP for the 9th grade Select team.
Chandler
has traveled with her Puget Sound Flight team to
Arizona
,
Oregon
,
Tennessee
, and
San Diego
and with Tree of Hope to
North Carolina
,
Oregon
,
Las Vegas
and LA. This year she was invited to the Michael T White “Top 100” in LA
and then

’s Fab- 40 showcase.
Chandler
is also in the National Honor Society.
Chandler
is very excited to be part of the Mustang Girls basketball team this year and
is looking forward to having a great time with her teammates. Chandler's
favorite quote: "We may not have it all together but together we have
it all".

Katie Whitaker Katie
began playing basketball for
Redmond
Parks
and Recreation in the 1st grade. She played there until joining the
Redmond Select Basketball program and the Puget Sound Flight program in 6th
grade. She also played for the undefeated Redmond Junior High Varsity team in 9th
grade where she got the award of Unsung Hero. She also enjoys other sports such
as soccer which she has played on and off since 1st grade. For
college, she hopes to attend WSU or UC Davis to become a veterinarian. She is a
triplet and lives with her mom, dad and two brothers and her Black Labrador,
Jade. When she is not playing sports, she enjoys hanging out with friends, doing
activities outdoors, and going to
California
when she can. She is looking forward to having a lot of fun and working hard
with her teammates this year to have a successful, exciting season.

22 Lindsey Smith
Lindsey
began playing basketball in the 2nd grade for the Boys and Girls Club. She
played Redmond Select basketball from the 6th through 9th grade. In her 9th
grade year, Lindsey was chosen by her team as the MVP Defender. She also
played in the AAU spring league for Puget Sound Flight and Heat for three
years. At Evergreen Junior High, Lindsey played one year of JV basketball and
two years on the varsity. She also participated on the school's varsity
volleyball team for three years. She was elected as the MVP and chosen to be
captain in the 9th grade. Lindsey has also been playing soccer since the age
of four and has now been on the Crossfire Premier and Select team for the last
five years. On the RHS soccer team, she was selected as the sophomore MVP
Defender by her teammates. Lindsey is excited to participate in the Redmond
High School basketball program and is looking forward to another great year with her
teammates. Lindsey's favorite quote: "What doesn't kill you only makes
you stronger".

Courtney Martin Courtney
began playing competitive basketball in the 8th grade.
She played the past four seasons for the Puget Sound Flight AAU program.
Courtney is an aggressive, tireless, extremely well conditioned, high
energy player. A real gym rat, she
works tirelessly to continue to improve her game. Last season, as a
junior, Courtney led the Mustangs team in both scoring (17.0) and rebounding
(7.3) in garnering her 2nd consecutive team MVP award.
She was also named the MVP in the Capital City Classic in
Juneau
,
Alaska
, helping
Redmond
to the tournament championship. She led the KingCo 4A league in scoring and was
in the top 5 overall in rebounding, FG percentage and FT percentage.
She was named 1st team All-league.
As a sophomore, in her first year of varsity eligibility, she
was the second leading scorer, 10.8 PPG and leading rebounder, 7.5 RPG, for the
Mustangs, winning the Varsity’s MVP award.
Her goal for her senior
season is to play hard and do whatever it takes to help the Mustangs reach state
tournament. Courtney
was also a member of the National Honors Society, the Girl Scouts and does
volunteer work with autistic children. When she isn't playing basketball,
Courtney enjoys spending time with her friends, family and working out with Mike
Lawson at the RAC. Courtney's favorite quote: "I've missed more than
9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted
to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over again in my
life. And that is why I succeed - Michael Jordan".

Jordyn Ohrt
Jordyn played basketball 1st thru 5th grade with Redmond parks and rec and Soccer 1st through 7th grade with Lake Washington. For basketball, In 5th grade she joined the Puget Sound Flight club making their top team, and continued at this level through 9th grade. Jordyn played for the Redmond Select Basketball program her 6th thru 9th grade. She played on Redmond Junior High’s Varsity team 7th thru 9th grade and was co captain her 8th grade year as well as captain and MVP her 9th grade year. The RJH team went undefeated as district champions her last two years. Jordyn has been coaching youth basketball for the past three years as well. Jordyn has also been rowing as a novice with Sammamish Rowing Club the past two summers. At this point Jordyn is entering her first season of high school basketball and is very excited to be playing as a Mustang!

Kaitlyn Parrott
 Kaitlyn
has played basketball since 3rd grade. She played in the Redmond Select
Program, at Evergreen Junior High, AAU for the Seattle Magic, and 4 years for
Puget Sound Flight. Her basketball highlights include winning the Maui
Invitational in 7th grade, both the March Madness and WTA Tournaments in 8th
grade, and the Best in the West Tourney in 9th grade. On Puget Sound Flight,
Kaitlyn traveled to Oregon City, Phoenix and Memphis to compete in National
tournaments. Individual honors include being named Best Defensive Player on
several teams and, last year as a Junior, being recognized with the “Unsung
Hero” award at RHS. In JH track,
she was undefeated in 21 races and the District Champ in 3 different events:
the 100, 400, and 4X400. She has continued her track career at RHS where she
has competed as the top sprinter for 2 years.
Last year, as a junior, she reached Districts in 3 different events,
won KingCo as a member of the 4X4 relay team, and went to State.
Kaitlyn enjoys hanging out with her friends and having fun at whatever
she is doing. This, her senior season, she's looking forward to working hard,
and contributing to the success of the team, in any way that she can.

Jessica Bushmeyer
Jessica
began playing basketball in first grade with the Redmond Parks and Rec.
program, and AAU basketball in 6th grade with the Redmond Select and Puget
Sound Flight programs. Some memorable basketball accomplishments have been
playing three years of Varsity ball at Redmond Junior High, having an
undefeated 9th grade season, winning the District Championship, and receiving
the RJH Coaches Award; last year as a sophomore she enjoyed playing JV and
Varsity basketball and receiving the RHS JV Coaches Award.
Jessica has also been a member of the girls Mustang Swim Team the past two
years at RHS. When she’s not playing sports, she enjoys working as a
lifeguard at the Redmond pool, being a member of the RHS RAKE Club, and a
staff member for this year’s RHS Annual. Jess is looking forward to having a
great season with her teammates and helping them achieve their goal of going
to the state tournament. Jessica's favorite quote: "Never let a win
get to your head, or a loss to your heart".

Lexie Yoder
Lexie
started playing basketball in 1st grade for Redmond Parks and Recreation and
has played ever since. She played rec basketball up until 4th grade, but
stopped once she began playing for the Redmond Select program as a 5th grader
on the 6th grade team and continued playing for the program until 9th grade.
At the end of her 9th grade season, she received the Best Teammate award.
During 9th grade, she also played basketball for Redmond Junior High as a
varsity player. The RJH varsity team had an extremely successful season with
an undefeated record and the title of District Champions. Lexie has also
played spring basketball for the Puget Sound Flight program ever since 5th
grade. When she isn't in the gym, she loves to play other sports like soccer
and volleyball. She also enjoys traveling, shopping, cross-country skiing,
going to her condo at Lake Chelan as well as spending time with family and
friends. Lexie's favorite quote: "The difference between a successful
person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but
rather a lack of will - Vince Lombardi".

Marissa
Pratt
 Marissa
started playing basketball in 7th grade soon after moving from New Zealand in
2004. In her 8th and 9th grade years, she immersed herself in
basketball, playing on her varsity junior high team, her Redmond Select
team, and in the AAU Puget Sound Flight program. In 9th grade, her
Redmond Select team went 51-11 and her Puget Sound Flight team (15U) took
second place in the MSN tournament in San Diego. Now in her Junior year
at RHS and her second year on the RHS varsity team, Marissa is
working hard to help her teammates get to state this year and enjoys
spending time with her friends. Post season, she looks forward to
continuing with her AAU team, Puget Sound Flight, and play in tournaments
around the US. Longer term, she aspires to improve her game to the level
that allows her to make the New Zealand national team in time for the 2012
Olympics in London. Marissa's favorite
quote: "Good, better, best never let it rest until your good is better
and your better is best".
