Meet the Players:


 4    Darcy Hardwick

Darcy played rec basketball in Florida in second and third grade, and continued in fourth grade when she moved to Redmond. In 7th and 9th grade Darcy played for the Redmond select program, and in 8th and 9th grade she played varsity at Evergreen Jr. High. Darcy also plays soccer and runs cross country and track. She loves snowboarding in the winter time and water sports in the summer.

 

 

 

 


 5    Lauren May

Lauren started playing basketball for Redmond Parks and Rec in first grade and has played every season since.  She played Rec basketball until 4th grade when she stopped and played AAU for a year.  Then, as a 6th grader she began playing for the select program which she kept playing for until 8th grade.  Starting as a 7th grader and through to 9th grade, she played basketball for the RJH team as well.  As an 8th grader Lauren won the Most Inspirational award and as a 9th grader, she received the Coach’s Award for her work as a captain.  Lauren can be found running whenever she doesn’t have basketball to keep in shape for the Cross Country season.  She also enjoys listening to music, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

 


11   Erin Windham

Erin began playing basketball in the third grade for Redmond Parks and Recreation. She continued to play for the program until sixth grade when she made the Redmond Select Team. She played both select and Puget Sound Flight until the ninth grade. While attending Redmond Junior High, Erin played varsity for all three years, and was Captain in both eighth and ninth grade. During this time, the Junior high team was undefeated district champions. In eighth grade she was voted by her teammates as the most inspirational player. In tenth grade, Erin played for the Junior Varsity Basketball Team and enjoyed meeting all the girls. This year, she will be a swing player and can not wait for this exciting season. When not playing basketball, Erin enjoys hanging with friends, shopping, and watching all kinds of sports. She would like to give a shout out to the Rob and Big girl's and tell them thanks for all their love and support.


  20    Taylor Kopak   

Taylor started playing basketball in the 4th grade for Redmond Parks and Recreation and has played ever since.  She joined the Redmond Select program in the 7th grade and played through ninth grade.  In 8th grade she played for Varsity at RJH which had an undefeated record and the title of District Champions.  In 9th grade Taylor was voted as captain for the RJH varsity team.  The two years she was on the RJH team, they went two years undefeated and were back to back District Champions.  Taylor also played her 9th grade year in the Puget Sound Flight program and traveled to Las Vegas and Oregon.  When Taylor isn’t playing basketball she loves to play other sports such as soccer.  She also enjoys hanging out with family and friends shopping, snowboarding, sleeping and playing the piano.

24   Samanth Saleba

Sam started basketball in 6th grade in the Redmond boy and girls club team. 7th grade she played JV at Evergreen Junior High. 8th grade she played for the Redmond select team and played varsity at EJH through 9th grade.  When she isn't in the gym, she loves to play other sports like lacrosse and golf. She also enjoys being with her friends and cooking.

 

 

 

 


25   Ashley Mitchell

Ashley started playing basketball in kindergarten for Redmond Boys and Girls Club. From 1st through 4th grade she played for Redmond Parks and Recreation. In 5th grade she played on an AAU team, and then played for Redmond Select 6th through 8th grade. She also played basketball at Redmond Junior High for three years. As an 8th grader, she made varsity and in 9th grade she was named captain and later won the MVP award. When she is not playing basketball, Ashley also enjoys playing softball and soccer. She plays rec. soccer as well as select and school softball. Ashley is excited for her first high school basketball season and is proud to be a Mustang!

 

 


33   Casey Della

Casey started playing basketball in Kindergarten for the Boys and Girls club, on a team coached by her father, she continued to play for the club until 4th grade, then in the 5th grade she was a practice player on the Redmond select 6th grade team, while she played on AAU teams, she continued to play for Redmond Select until 9th grade. Casey also played for the Puget Sound Flight 5th grade 2012 gold team. She continued playing for Flight until 8th grade, she played J.V. Evergreen Jr. High basketball in 7th grade, then played varsity both her 8th and 9th grade seasons. When she is not in the gym she enjoys hanging out with her friends and her family, she also enjoys traveling; her most recent trips are to Mexico and China. She says she cannot wait to see more of the world.

 


34   Dana Simmons

Dana’s first passion was soccer which she played through Elementary and into High School where she received the Doug Kimball award for the unsung hero. She has competed for her High School in Gymnastics, Tennis and Cross Country.  Dana has completed the Seattle to Portland bike ride seven times and the Seattle to Vancouver BC ride twice.  In the winter Dana enjoys carving turns on her snowboard.  She has always liked basketball and is looking forward to getting to the foul line and having a great season with some of her best friends.

45    Jesseca Kinsses

Jessica began playing basketball in the 7th grade for Cedar Park and was voted Most Inspirational by her team mates & awarded the Coaches Award. In 8th grade she played for Redmond Select & Redmond Junior High Varsity which had an undefeated season & won Districts. In 9th grade Jessica played for Puget Sound Flight & Redmod Junior High Varsity & was voted Most Improved by her team mates. She went on to play summer basketball with the Redmond High School JV & Varsity players. Jessica also playing many other sports including; baseball, softball, track, volleyball, cheerleading & soccer. She also enjoys shopping, hanging out with friends, singing & laughing!
