Redmond started off slowly and didn't recover until well into the second half, having spotted North Medford a ten point half time lead. The free throw line proved to be a big difference with the Mustang's hitting just 13 of 28, while the Tornados hit 21 of 33.

Game 6 Summary:
Redmond, Washington 71, Sheldon (Eugene), Oregon 53 at Westview High School

Aggressive play started the game on the right tone for Redmond and was  sustained throughout the game.  The Mustangs led 18-12 at the quarter and never trailed.  The third quarter saw superb offense and defense by  outscoring the Irish 22-8.  Redmond plays next on Monday at 5:30PM against the winner of the East Lake (California)-London (British Columbia) game.

Game 7 Summary:
Redmond, Washington 79, Eastlake (Chula Vista, CA) 51 at Westview High School

After outscoring Eastlake 11-3 to start the game, Redmond allowed the Titans to cut the gap to 14-12 before the Mustangs (5-2) worked into their rhythm.  Overcoming intense defensive quickness in the Holiday Classic is proving to be a major benefit for Redmond.  Steady, consistent play helped Redmond widen their lead throughout the third and fourth quarters. Rebounding was key to the Mustang's success as they had a 49-20 edge over Eastlake.

Game 8 Summary:
Colony (Palmer, Alaska) 53, Redmond 51

Dec 30 - In the Consolation Championship game of the Oregon Holiday Classic, Redmond bolted to an early 9-2 lead before Colony High (Palmer, Alaska), last year's Alaska State Champions, rallied to take the first quarter lead at 14-11.  Redmond's speed enabled them to take a two point halftime lead which they widened to 12 after 3 periods.  The fourth quarter was a complete turnaround for the Knights, hitting outside shots to tie the score at 51-51 with 24 seconds to play.  After a Redmond turnover, Colony also mishandled the ball, forcing a desperation shot that was good with one second on the clock.
